David Detweiler | Saxophone

Tenor saxophonist David Detweiler was born in Houston, TX and attended the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston under the direction of Dr. Robert Morgan.

Currently Assistant Professor of Jazz Saxophone, David joined the faculty at Florida State University in 2016 after serving as Director of Jazz Studies at Nazareth College (Rochester, NY).

David has performed and presented research at numerous conferences including the Jazz Education Network (JEN), the College Music Society (CMS), and the North American Saxophone Alliance (NASA). He is also a Vandoren artist.
