Javier Nero, trombonist with the US Army Blues, is back with another single this time his take on the classic McCoy Tyner composition, "Contemplation," featuring the great trumpeter Sean Jones. The track opens with a wall of sound from the big band and dense harmonies before bringing a breath of fresh air with the small group feel of the solo section for Nero and Jones.

Javier Nero, trombonist in the US Army Blues, is joined by famed trumpeter Sean Jones and acclaimed vocalist Christie Dashiell (NBC’s The Sing Off) to follow up his greatly received debut release from 2020, Discord. With this modern take on Cole Porter’s classic composition Nero is surely to become a household favorite with this blend of latin rhythm and swing. Dashiell’s warm voice takes us through the melody before intertwining with Jones’ trumpet solo keeping the listener on the edge of their seat.
