Featuring Melanie Charles on the flute, and Joel Wendhardt on the additional piano. This track pays homage to an important part of MATHIS’ daily life, Meditation. MATHIS grew up in a household where Meditation and mindfulness were an essential part of his upbringing. Doctrines from Buddhist & Hindu scriptures were part of the root, but the purpose was laid in something much wider. Meditation is a fascinating way of connecting oneself with their purpose and their body, and there are many similarities between meditation and prayer. This composition was written by the great Barry Harris, and is comprised of an unusual setup of Flute, Piano, Brushes and Synth.
