Dean Tsur | Live from Lockdown | Album

Dean Tsur releases his sophomore album, Live from Lockdown, in collaboration with Barack Weiss, Artistic Director of the Tel Aviv Jazz Festival and manager of the Israeli Jazz Society. Combining Tsur’s quartet “The Songbirds” with chamber string ensemble elements, Live from Lockdown features arrangements of 10 iconic jazz standards in ways that utilizes the full potential of this combination of timbres in instrumentation. With the ebullience of a caged bird finally soaring, Live from Lockdown expresses brilliance, emotion, and the unbridled creative force that has been with the pioneers of jazz since its genesis.
