So Help Me God is a composition based on the art work of visual artist Sonnie Wooden. The Wooden piece, So Help Me God, is a commentary on his personal struggle with depression, thoughts of suicide, and how he overcame his struggle. Vibraphonist Jalen Baker was so inspired by the piece that he decided to put music to it and try to convey those emotions through sound.
