"Singularity" from saxophonist David Detweiler's upcoming album, The Astoria Suite, releasing on NextLevel, features special guest trombonist Kevin Jones, and was written by Jones as a contrafact on the timeless Charlie Parker tune, "Confirmation." What remains remarkable is that even though this piece was written by Jones, it still functions beautifully as part of Detweiler's overall suite.
